Ryan Newman

Ryan has been fishing the Provo River his entire life and guiding for Rocky Mountain Outfitters since 2000. Some might say he is addicted to fly fishing, one thing is certain he is very passionate about fly fishing. He grew up just a few miles from the Provo River and learned the secrets of the Provo River at a young age. He has become a very skilled fly tyer and has several patterns that are sold by Orvis. In his off time when he isn't guiding he teaches AP Untied States History at Pleasant Grove High School. There isn't a more likable guy or more curtious guy on the water. Year after year he has repeat customers that refuse to fish with anyone else. Ryan has made it in the spotlight a few times on such shows as American Fly Guide, HGTV- Dream House, Hooked on Utah, Fox Television, and was mentnion by Elizabeth Banks on Live with Kelly and Michael, watch it here. Has finished in the top 3 multiple times at the Orvis Guide Rendevous Fly Tying Competiton. Ryan is married to his Junior High Sweetheart Briti, and they have 2 children Camden and Clarie.
